Continuous Inkjet Industrial (CIJ) Printers – a CIJ printer fires an ink stream through an electrical field which electrically charges some of the ink droplets in the stream. The way that specific droplets are charged results in the desired print pattern onto the substrate.

The print head contains tiny resistors that heat up when an electrical current passes through them.
